New Study: Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence is Recommending COVID Vaccine for those with Parkinson’s!

At the beginning of 2020 last year, life as we knew it changed drastically due to the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 can cause life-threatening complications to any individual regardless of one’s race, health status, and age, including individuals with Parkinson’s disease. People living with Parkinson’s disease are at a higher risk for COVID-19 causing serious life-threatening complications.

The Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence conducted a study that looked closely at the development and approval processes. This included thorough analysis of completed Phase III data as provided by vaccine developers. Overall, the main purpose of the study was to recommend that individuals with Parkinson’s should get the COVID-19 vaccine.
